US officials warned of a credible threat of a mass-casualty attack on Saturday at Moscow's Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve, prompting Russian authorities to restrict access and temporarily close the sprawling palace museum and park complex south of the city. Russia's Federal Security Service said it received information from the United States through established partner channels about preparations for a terrorist attack in Moscow and was taking measures in response. The warning revived memories of March 2024, when the US Embassy flagged an imminent extremist attack in Moscow days before gunmen struck Crocus City Hall outside the capital, killing more than 140 people.
