Ukrainian drone attack damages industrial site near Moscow
Nizhny Novgorod officials urged residents not to hoard fuel, signaling the target may have involved refining or supply infrastructure.
A Ukrainian drone attack damaged an industrial facility in Kstovo District, in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region, early Sunday, amid a new wave of long-range strikes by both sides. Governor Gleb Nikitin said the overnight assault was large-scale and caused significant damage, but there were no fatalities. He said more than 100 drones were destroyed. Local authorities did not name the site hit, but the regional government later urged residents to buy fuel only as needed and avoid panic buying, indicating disruption to fuel processing or distribution infrastructure. Ukrainian media reported that the target was the Kstovo refinery, one of Russia's major oil-processing facilities. At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Russian strikes cut power to hundreds of thousands of households in four Ukrainian regions.
