RI money supply rises 8.7% to Rp10,432.8 trillion in June

The M2 pace eased from 10.8% in May, but credit strengthened to 12.1% and claims on the central government still grew in double digits.

Bank Indonesia said broad money supply, or M2, reached Rp10,432.8 trillion in June 2026, up 8.7 percent from a year earlier. The figure was lower than May's 10.8 percent growth. BI said the increase in M2 was supported by narrow money, or M1, which grew 9.8 percent, and quasi-money, which rose 6.9 percent. At the same time, lending strengthened to 12.1 percent year on year, up from 10.8 percent in May. Net claims on the central government also continued to grow, rising 10.1 percent, though far slower than 37.4 percent in the previous month. BI also reported that adjusted base money, or M0, grew 13.8 percent to Rp2,228.0 trillion in June.
