U.S. strikes 2 Iranian missile launchers on Larak Island

The United States struck Iran again, hitting two missile launchers on Larak Island, near the Strait of Hormuz, after a pause of about a month. U.S. Central Command said its forces hit the target as Iran's Revolutionary Guard unit was seen preparing to launch rockets fitted with sea mines toward the shipping lane. Iranian media, including Fars and Tasnim, reported explosions heard around the island in Hormozgan Province and said initial information pointed to a U.S. drone attack. The IRGC accused the strike of killing and wounding several soldiers and civilians, while threatening retaliation. The latest attack came as the U.S.-Iran conflict entered its sixth month and added to tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, a route that before the war carried about one-fifth of the world's oil supply.
