U.S. hit 6 bridges in Iran as Tehran widened strikes across Gulf
What's new: Kuwait reported damage at a power and desalination station as Bahrain, Qatar and Jordan intercepted Iranian attacks.
The U.S. struck six bridges and other infrastructure in Iran's Hormozgan province overnight, while Iran widened retaliation with missile and drone attacks across the Gulf and claims of a strike on the al-Tanf area in Syria. U.S. Central Command said it targeted Iranian air defenses, logistics sites and maritime capabilities in its sixth straight night of attacks. Iranian state media said the latest U.S. strikes killed at least seven or eight people and wounded 20, and Iranian health officials put the past week's toll at 38 dead and more than 400 injured. Kuwait said an Iranian attack hit a power generation and water desalination station, while Bahrain, Qatar and Jordan said their defenses intercepted incoming attacks.
