TTU DPRD chief questioned for 6 hours in dr. Icha death case
Police have questioned 37 witnesses, including four reported suspects, and seized video of the victim complaining of intimidation at Leona Hospital.
The East Nusa Tenggara Police questioned Timor Tengah Utara DPRD Chairman Kristoforus Efi for six hours on Thursday, July 16, as a witness in the investigation into alleged intimidation of dr. Eliza Princila Utami Pakaenoni, also known as dr. Icha. NTT Police Criminal Investigation Director Kombes Sigit Haryono said investigators were examining how much Kristoforus knew about threats reported by the victim's family. During the questioning, police also obtained video of Kristoforus visiting dr. Icha at Rumah Sakit Leona Kefamenanu; in the recording, the victim is said to have complained about intimidation. To date, the joint investigative team has questioned 37 witnesses, including health workers, emergency room patients, family members, four reported suspects, and the TTU DPRD chairman. dr. Icha was found dead on June 26, 2026, after allegedly coming under pressure following an incident involving treatment of a snakebite patient on June 13.
