Trump claims Russia and Ukraine agree on energy ceasefire
New: Kremlin has not confirmed the deal, and Zelensky seeks a start time as attacks on energy infrastructure were still reported.
U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a limited ceasefire in the energy sector that would take effect immediately. But Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he learned of the development only from Trump's announcement and had not received details of the agreement. According to Trump, the halt in attacks would cover energy infrastructure only, not the wider fighting along the front line. Zelensky said Kyiv is ready to observe the ceasefire if Russia does the same, but he asked for clarity on when it would begin and how it would be enforced. At the same time, the Kremlin has given no confirmation, while reports said Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities were still continuing after Trump's claim was published.
