Trump approves Patriot missile production license for Ukraine
After meeting at the White House, Zelenskyy quickly explored joint production with US defense companies.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said US President Donald Trump approved a license for Ukraine to produce Patriot system missiles. According to Zelenskyy, the arrangement followed their talks on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara in early July and came up again during a roughly one-hour meeting at the White House in Washington on Tuesday (28/7). Zelenskyy said Ukraine's most urgent needs are anti-ballistic systems and interceptor missiles. After receiving the approval, he met senior executives from several major US defense companies to explore the possibility of joint production. The two sides also discussed efforts to revive diplomacy and negotiations with Russia.
