TNI evacuates shooting victim’s body from Yahukimo ravine
Teina Alya’s body was found at the bottom of a landslide about 50 meters deep near Kali Kolof and taken to RSUD Dekai.
Satgas Koops TNI Habema evacuated the body of Teina Alya, a shooting victim suspected of being killed by KKB, from the bottom of a ravine near Kali Kolof, Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Pegunungan, on Friday. The victim was allegedly shot on Monday, 20 July, and was one of three victims in the incident. After the family asked for help on 27 July, TNI monitored the area with drones and found the body at the bottom of a landslide about 50 meters deep, around 100 meters from the shooting site. Because of the steep terrain, three personnel were lowered using rappelling techniques to recover the body in a body bag. The body was then taken to RSUD Dekai and handed over to the family for burial.
