Tito and Bima Arya urge intellectuals, students toward 2045

Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto both stressed the importance of human resource quality in preparing for Indonesia Emas 2045. Tito, speaking at the inauguration of the DPP Persatuan Inteligensia Kristen Indonesia at Gereja Paulus in Jakarta on Saturday, called on intellectuals to take a strategic role through ideas and innovation. He said Indonesia has major assets in natural resources, population size, vast territory and a strategic geographic location. But he said that potential will not be fully realized without superior human resources. On the same day, Bima at the IV Congress of Blok Pelajar Politik Merdeka at the PPSDM BNN building in Kabupaten Bogor, warned that the demographic bonus will not last forever. He urged students to improve their own capacity, stay sensitive to social issues, and build networks and collaboration.
