Thai man arrested after car attack kills ex-girlfriend, bystander

What's new: Police said dashcam footage showed the suspect accelerating to 140 kph to hit a motorcycle carrying the woman and a man helping her flee.

A 32-year-old man in Thailand was arrested after police said he deliberately rammed his car into his ex-girlfriend and a motorcyclist who tried to help her escape, killing both on June 8 in Surin province. Investigators said Anon confronted 32-year-old Thidarat at the hotel where she worked, and the two argued after leaving in a black MG sedan. Thidarat got out when she realized he had a knife, and 28-year-old Natthanon, an employee of the Surin Provincial Electricity Authority, let her ride on his motorcycle. Police said dashcam and in-cabin footage later showed Anon chasing them and speeding up to 140 kph before the impact. Thidarat died at the scene, while Natthanon died at Surin Hospital. Police said Anon faces multiple premeditated murder charges.
