Tegal police officer fired after assault, meth use

Ethics panel imposed dishonorable discharge, found no mitigating factors, and Aiptu N immediately filed an appeal.

A member of the Polres Tegal in Central Java, Aiptu N, was dismissed with dishonor after a Polri Code of Ethics Commission hearing found he had assaulted a woman identified as MAN, described as his siri wife or girlfriend, and had forced the use of narcotics. In the hearing, which ran from about 09.00-15.30 WIB, the commission also imposed eight days in special placement. Beyond the violence, Aiptu N was found to have had a husband-and-wife-like relationship with MAN while still legally married, and to have used meth with her during the period from 2023 to June 2026. Hearing chairman AKBP Edy Wibowo said there were no mitigating facts; instead, the violations were committed knowingly and were not the first, because Aiptu N had previously been involved in disciplinary and ethics violations. After the ruling was read out, Aiptu N filed an appeal.
