Taylor Farms recalls 20 jalapeño products after 345 salmonella cases

Taylor Farms pulled 20 jalapeño-containing products from grocery shelves across the United States after a salmonella outbreak tied to peppers made 345 people sick in 27 states. The recalled foods include dips, salsas and guacamole sold through retailers including Walmart, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and Kroger, and were distributed in 26 states. The products carry “Best If Used By” dates up to and including Aug. 16, 2026. The FDA previously traced the outbreak to jalapeños supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors and sourced from Sinaloa, Mexico. Taylor Farms said it has stopped buying from that grower and shifted orders to other suppliers.
