Applicants must hold at least a bachelor's degree or a two-year official apprenticeship and work only in their field of study.

The Swiss government has opened its Young Professionals program for foreign nationals, including Indonesian citizens, to work in the country for up to 18 months. The program, posted on the website of the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), is aimed at young workers who want to gain professional experience and language skills in Switzerland. Applicants must have completed at least a bachelor's degree or a two-year official apprenticeship. Jobs taken must match the applicant's profession or field of study, while part-time work and self-employment are not allowed. SEM also said participants must be paid according to local rates and industry standards. Applications are submitted to the competent authorities in the applicant's home country.
