Surge partners with FiberHome to build 3,000 FWA sites in Indonesia

PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI) has partnered with Wuhan FiberHome International Technologies Co. Ltd. to expand telecommunications infrastructure and the digital ecosystem in Indonesia. The strategic partnership was signed at FiberHome's booth during Mobile World Congress 2026 in Shanghai, China. The scope includes building up to 3,000 fixed wireless access sites, 1.6 million CPE units, a national inter-island backbone and metro access optical network, as well as full turnkey FTTH solutions for up to 300,000 homepass. The cooperation also covers PON network equipment, centralized solar power plant projects, and future railway mobile communication systems. Surge said the collaboration could accelerate digital transformation and widen access to affordable internet in Indonesia.
