Sumut extends training for 74 Paskibraka after 81st RI Day
The 74-member group, 41 boys and 33 girls, completed boarding training at Wisma Atlet Sumut on Aug. 6-17, 2026.
The Sumatera Utara provincial government is continuing training for 74 provincial-level Paskibraka members after they completed duties for the 81st anniversary of Indonesian independence at the Sumut governor's office in Medan on Tuesday. Deputy Governor Surya said the training should not end after Aug. 17 and must be strengthened through collaboration among the provincial government, district and city governments, former Paskibraka members, schools, families and the wider community. He said the program is important to shape young people who are disciplined, responsible, trustworthy and committed to unity. Andry Simatupang, head of the Ideology Development, National Insight and National Character Division at the Sumut Kesbangpol Agency, said the Sumut Paskibraka members consist of 41 boys and 33 girls. They took part in boarding-style education and training at the Wisma Atlet of the Sumut Youth and Sports Office on Aug. 6-17, 2026.
