Student arrested in Bekasi for minimarket robbery with toy gun
Police seized Rp3,9 million, 14 packs of cigarettes and a pistol-shaped lighter from the suspect arrested in Cikarang Utara.
Polda Metro Jaya arrested ARM, 20, the suspect in a minimarket robbery in Jaka Setia, Bekasi Selatan, Bekasi City, who used a lighter shaped like a pistol. The suspect, identified as a student, was taken into custody without resistance on Friday (19/6) at about 10:30 WIB in Kampung Cibeber, Desa Simpangan, Cikarang Utara, Bekasi Regency. The robbery took place a day earlier, Thursday (18/6) at about 07:15 WIB, when ARM entered an Alfamart outlet on Jalan Surya Raya, held up two employees and forced them to open the safe on the second floor. Police said the suspect got away with Rp11,6 juta from the safe, Rp500 ribu from the cashier drawer, and 14 packs of cigarettes. The minimarket's total losses reached Rp12,1 juta.
