SKK Migas approves Ronggolawe POD, SAKA targets 2029 output
The field in WK Pangkah is projected to peak at 5,126 barrels per day, with about 10 million barrels of resources.
SKK Migas has approved the plan of development, or POD, for the Ronggolawe PHE-7 Field in the Pangkah Working Area, which is being developed by PT Saka Energi Indonesia. With the approval, the field is targeted to start onstream at the end of 2029. SAKA estimates Ronggolawe can contribute peak production of 5,126 barrels of oil per day and holds about 10 million barrels of oil in resources. Development will include drilling four wells linked to existing production facilities in WK Pangkah through an undersea pipeline. Ronggolawe is a unitization scheme between WK Pangkah and WK West Madura Offshore, which is operated by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi WMO. The technical basis for the POD refers to analysis from well RGL-3, after a hydrocarbon discovery in well RGL-1 in 2012 was confirmed again through appraisal in 2024.
