16-year-old student dies after being hit by KRL at Jurangmangu Station
The Tanah Abang-Parung Panjang Commuter Line was delayed briefly before service resumed after the evacuation.
A 16-year-old high school student identified by the initial A died after being hit by a KRL at Jurangmangu Station, Ciputat, South Tangerang, on Monday afternoon. Police said the victim was suspected of falling from the platform at around 16:45 WIB and was found on the tracks. The body was later taken to RSU Tangerang Selatan for further examination. Tangerang Selatan Police Chief Boy Jumalolo and Ciputat Timur Police Chief Bambang Askar Sodiq said the exact cause has not been determined. Police are still questioning witnesses, station staff, and reviewing evidence at the scene. At the same time, KAI Commuter reported the incident briefly disrupted train 1742D on the Tanah Abang-Parung Panjang route and caused delays on the Rangkasbitung line before the track reopened.
