Sinner retains Wimbledon title with 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Zverev

The fifth Grand Slam title also marked Sinner's 100th major win, while Zverev moved up to No. 2 in the world.

Jannik Sinner retained his 2026 Wimbledon title after rallying from a first-set loss to defeat Alexander Zverev 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4 in the final in London on Monday WIB. The 24-year-old Italian became the 10th player in the Open era to successfully defend the men's singles title at Wimbledon, while also capturing the fifth Grand Slam title of his career and his first of the 2026 season. The victory also marked Sinner's 100th win in a Grand Slam tournament. He sealed the match in 3 hours 46 minutes with 58 winners and saved the only break point he faced. The result keeps Sinner at No. 1 in the world with a 4.970-point lead, while Zverev moved up to No. 2 after reaching his first Wimbledon final.
