What's new: Singapore's privacy regulator is investigating, and M1 has not disclosed how many customers were affected.

Singapore telecom company M1 disclosed on Nov. 6 that a data breach on Oct. 30 exposed customer names, identity card details, dates of birth, mobile numbers, email addresses and home addresses. The company said the incident has been contained and that its services and business operations were not disrupted. M1 did not disclose the number of affected customers, but said it will notify them by email or letter. It added that payment card details, banking or financial information, and customer account access were not compromised.
