Singapore raises household refuse fees from July 1 after 2024 review

What's new: HDB and condo homes will pay S$10.64 a month, while landed homes rise to S$35.50 as labor and operating costs climb.

Singapore households will pay more for trash collection starting July 1 under revised public waste collection charges. The monthly fee for Housing Board flats and non-landed private homes will rise by 44 cents, from S$10.20 to S$10.64, while landed homes will pay S$35.50, up S$1.50 from S$34. The National Environment Agency said the increase follows a regular review and is meant to keep the waste management system operating sustainably as public waste collectors face higher manpower and operating costs. The charges include GST. NEA said eligible HDB households can offset the fee through U-Save rebates credited to SP Services accounts, with 2026 financial year payouts due in July, October and January 2027.
