Singapore police arrest 61-year-old after ambulance jump on SLE

Singapore police arrested a 61-year-old man after he jumped out of a private ambulance on the Seletar Expressway and was struck on the road on June 15. Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted at about 2:40 p.m. to an incident on the SLE toward Punggol, after the Lentor Avenue exit. The Straits Times reported the ambulance had stopped on the road shoulder when the man got out. Mothership, citing Lianhe Zaobao, reported that he then ran on the roadway before a car hit him. Police said he was conscious when taken to hospital and was later arrested for a rash act. The investigation is ongoing.
