Singapore police arrest 2 drivers in separate drink-driving crashes
What's new: One crash in Punggol left a car on its side, while a second in Ubi sent two men to the hospital.
Singapore police arrested two men in separate suspected drink-driving crashes on June 9 and June 10, including one wreck in Punggol that left a car flipped on its side. Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said the Punggol crash happened around 8.15 p.m. on June 9 at the junction of Edgefield Plains and Punggol Drive and involved two cars. No injuries were reported, though one person was checked for minor injuries and declined hospital treatment. In the second crash, police were alerted around 9.45 p.m. on June 10 to a two-car collision along Ubi Avenue 1 toward Ubi Avenue 2. A 61-year-old driver and a 69-year-old driver were taken conscious to the hospital, and SCDF said one person was taken to Changi General Hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
