Singapore orders TikTok post removed in Faishal rumor case

What's new: The new Online Safety Commission is reviewing other related posts after about 200 online-harm reports since launching June 29.

Singapore's Online Safety Commission ordered the removal of a TikTok post that falsely linked fitness instructor Rasidah Caudal to Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim's resignation from politics. The post was no longer available by the evening of July 28 after the commission assessed a complaint and found online harmful activity had taken place. The agency said it is reviewing other content named in the same report. Caudal had denied the claim on Instagram on July 27, saying her only contact with Faishal was at two fitness events at Kampong Ubi Community Centre. Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Zaqy Mohamad also said she had been wrongly identified and subjected to abusive comments.
