Singapore hospital clusters hit by outages, longer waits
What's new: Synapxe said there was no sign of a cyber incident as booking, registration, billing and call services were restored in stages.
System disruptions hit all three of Singapore's public healthcare clusters on Oct. 13, slowing services at hospitals and clinics across the city-state. NHG Health, the National University Health System and SingHealth reported connectivity problems that affected appointment bookings, patient registration, payments, visitor registration, billing inquiries and call center operations. National health tech agency Synapxe said there was no indication of a cyber incident and that technical teams were working urgently to restore access, with some services coming back progressively. NHG Health said its call lines were temporarily unavailable, while hospitals including Tan Tock Seng Hospital, National University Hospital and Singapore General Hospital warned of longer waits.
