Singapore Airlines, Southwest link 120 US destinations on one ticket
What's new: Travelers can connect through Los Angeles, Seattle and San Francisco, but KrisFlyer miles do not apply on Southwest flights.
Singapore Airlines and Southwest Airlines have started an interline partnership that lets travelers book trips between Singapore and nearly 120 US destinations on a single ticket. The arrangement gives SIA customers onward access to Southwest's domestic network through Los Angeles International Airport, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and San Francisco International Airport. Tickets will be offered through SIA channels as well as travel agents and travel websites. Under the setup, passengers check in once and their bags are transferred to the final destination. SIA said the tie-up does not include reciprocal frequent-flyer benefits, so KrisFlyer members cannot earn or redeem miles on Southwest-operated flights.
