Shooting at Lexington, Kentucky park kills 1
Four other victims, including children ages 4 and 14, were hospitalized, and police have not arrested a suspect.
One person was killed and four others were wounded in a shooting at Charles Young Park in Lexington, Kentucky, on Saturday evening. Police said two of the injured were children ages 4 and 14, while the other two were adults; all of the wounded were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The shooting occurred at about 18:45 during a music performance at the open-air park. Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear disclosed the information while attending the Kentucky Democratic Party dinner at the Hyatt Regency, about 1,5 miles from the scene. Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers said no arrest had been made by Sunday morning, but there was no ongoing threat to the public.
