Persija Jakarta coach Shin Tae-yong has pledged to do his utmost to lead Macan Kemayoran to their best possible result in the 2026-2027 season after the club set a league title target. The goal is tied to Jakarta's 500th anniversary celebration in 2027. STY conveyed the commitment at the kickoff of the Bank Jakarta and Persija collaboration, titled “United for Jakarta,” at Taman Suropati, Menteng, Jakarta Pusat, on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Persija club president Mohammad Prapanca said the team is not only aiming to perform well, but to bring home the league trophy for Jakarta.
