Sheng Siong joins Foodpanda in Singapore with 1-hour grocery delivery

Sheng Siong and Foodpanda will start an on-demand grocery delivery service in Singapore on June 22, letting shoppers order more than 12,000 grocery and household items from 43 Sheng Siong outlets. The companies said orders can arrive in about an hour and that they plan to expand the service to more stores later. The launch adds one of Singapore’s largest supermarket chains to Foodpanda’s grocery push as demand grows for delivery beyond last-minute purchases. Foodpanda said grocery order frequency on its Singapore platform has risen 7% since 2023, while the average basket size has increased 8%. To promote the rollout, the companies are offering discounts of up to 40% on selected products through July 19.
