Israeli strike on Gaza City kills at least 9
Israel’s military said four senior Hamas General Security Apparatus officials were among those killed in the strike on four buildings.
At least nine Palestinians were killed and several others wounded in Israeli airstrikes on four residential buildings in Gaza City in the early hours of Thursday local time. The strikes hit the Sheikh Radwan and Tel al-Hawa neighborhoods and the Shati refugee camp, while rescue teams continued searching for people under the rubble. Medical sources at Al-Shifa Medical Complex reported an initial death toll of nine, while BBC said at least 11 people were killed, including women and children. The Israeli military said the strikes killed four senior members of Hamas’ General Security Apparatus, including Hassan Labad. Gaza’s Health Ministry said more than 940 people have been killed since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025.
