Savannah Guthrie renews plea 6 months after mother’s abduction

What’s new: Investigators say the case remains active, but no suspects have been identified in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.

Savannah Guthrie released a new video plea Monday as the search for her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, nears six months since she vanished from her home outside Tucson, Arizona. Authorities believe Nancy Guthrie was taken against her will on Feb. 1. Blood was found near her front doorstep, and FBI surveillance footage later showed a masked man on the porch that night. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said the investigation remains active, with DNA and digital evidence still under review, but no significant developments or suspects have emerged. The FBI has examined ransom notes sent to media outlets, ruling some out as extortion while continuing to assess others. The family previously offered a $1.2 million reward tied to her recovery.
