Saudi strikes hit Hodeidah after Houthi attacks on Red Sea tankers

Saudi-led coalition forces struck Houthi military sites in Yemen's Hodeidah governorate after the group claimed attacks on Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea. Houthi-run Al Masirah TV said the strikes hit facilities of the state telecommunications corporation in Hodeidah city and also targeted Kamaran Island. Coalition spokesman Turki al-Malki said the operation targeted sites used to threaten commercial shipping and said Hodeidah, Ras Issa and Salif ports remained open. The latest violence further strains a 2022 truce that had largely halted major fighting. Saudi state media also reported minor hull damage to the Saudi vessel NCC MASA after a Red Sea attack, with the ship continuing safely to its destination.
