Saka pushes through Achilles issue before England opener vs Croatia
What's next: Thomas Tuchel must decide whether to start Saka in Dallas on Wednesday or turn to Noni Madueke on the right wing.
Bukayo Saka said he is prepared to keep playing through an Achilles problem as England manage his minutes before their World Cup match against Croatia in Dallas on Wednesday. The Arsenal forward, 24, came off the bench in the warm-up against Costa Rica and said he feels better than he did in March, when the injury first sidelined him for seven games. England manager Thomas Tuchel has warned Saka's condition is being watched closely, and Noni Madueke is an option to start on the right. Saka is in line to make his 50th England appearance in his next match as he competes for a starting place.
