A Russian drone strike killed 13 people at the main railway station in Dnipro on Oct. 29 after hitting a crowded platform where passengers were boarding a commuter train, Ukrainian officials said. State rail company Ukrzaliznytsia said the jet-powered drone struck as a train was preparing to depart for the southern city of Zaporizhzhia. Regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said at least five other people were wounded. Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov wrote that many people were killed and injured. Ukrzaliznytsia said rescuers were working at the scene and noted that people were still on the platform despite a warning of heightened danger.
