Rp60 million extortion case against young businessman in Jakpus sent to prosecutors

Victim said the demand was cut from Rp500 million to Rp60 million before he was dropped off in Puncak, Bogor.

Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat has transferred the case file in the alleged extortion and threats case against a young businessman identified by the initials VL to the Kejaksaan Negeri Jakarta Pusat. Police have charged the reported suspect, lawyer Bangun Paulus Tudungta, in a case reported under LP/B/653/III/2026/SPKT/Polres Metro Jakpus/Polda Metro Jaya. According to VL, the incident took place in February 2026 after he was invited to meet at a hotel in Jakarta with BP and four other people. After the meeting, VL was driven around Jakarta and, while passing Jalan Benyamin Sueb, Kemayoran, was asked to hand over Rp500 million. The demand later fell to Rp60 million. After the money was handed over, VL said he was dropped off on Jalan Raya Puncak, Bogor. Kasat Reskrim AKBP Roby Hery Saputra said the file has entered the stage of submission to prosecutors.
