RI Visa on Arrival fee rises to Rp750,000-Rp1 million

The Directorate General of Immigration is preparing to raise the Visa on Arrival fee from Rp500,000 to a two-tier system: Rp750,000 for foreign nationals applying for e-VoA from their home country and Rp1 million for applicants who handle it only upon arrival in Indonesia. The Director General of Immigration said the adjustment is driven by exchange-rate considerations and the need to increase state revenue. The new scheme is also intended to shift applications to before departure so queues at airports ease, including at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Immigration said the move is also meant to support service quality at arrival gates.
