RI stock investors top 10.05 million SID by Aug. 7, 2026
Total capital market investors reached 30.27 million SID, while the JCI remained down 25.87 percent from the start of the year.
PT Bursa Efek Indonesia said the number of stock investors in Indonesia reached 10,052,059 single investor identification (SID) as of Aug. 7, 2026. The figure rose by 1,447,882 SID, or 16.83 percent, from the end of 2025. Overall, capital market investors reached 30,274,265 SID, up 48.78 percent year to date, covering stocks, bonds, mutual funds, exchange traded funds and derivatives. BEI also held the Surabaya Investor Meeting and Connectivity 2026 on Aug. 5, bringing together seven issuers and investors through 13 brokerage members and Asosiasi Dana Pensiun Indonesia. Even as the investor base grew, the Jakarta Composite Index closed on Aug. 7 at 6,409.65, down 25.87 percent from the start of the year.
