Registration for the Aug. 17, 2026 ceremony at Istana has not opened
No official schedule has been released yet, but registration usually opens in early to mid-August through Pandang Istana.
The government has not opened official registration for members of the public who want to attend the 81st anniversary of Indonesia's independence ceremony on Aug. 17, 2026 at Istana Merdeka, Jakarta. So far, organizers have not released a date for when registration will open. Based on previous years, registration is generally opened online closer to the ceremony date, around early to mid-August, through the Pandang Istana portal. Prospective attendees are usually asked to provide their full name, NIK, phone number, active email address, an ID photo, a recent personal photo and select a ceremony session. The data is then verified by the committee before invitations are issued. The government also urged the public to monitor only official channels, including the Kementerian Sekretariat Negara and Pandang Istana, and to beware of fake registration information or requests for payment.
