Real Madrid close in on €100m-plus deal for Leipzig winger Diomande
What's new: PSG withdrew after calling the fee and wage demands disproportionate, leaving Madrid clear to move for the 19-year-old.
Real Madrid are nearing a deal to sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande after Paris Saint-Germain pulled out of the race, according to reports from Britain. The transfer fee is expected to top €100 million after Leipzig rejected an earlier Madrid proposal worth €90 million plus €10 million in add-ons. Diomande, a 19-year-old Ivory Coast international, has reportedly agreed personal terms and is expected to travel to Madrid for a medical. PSG said it ended its pursuit because the asking price and salary demands were out of line with the club's financial approach. Diomande is coming off a breakout 2025-26 season in which he scored 12 Bundesliga goals and added eight assists, earning the league's young player award.
