RAPBN 2027 Allocates Rp549.9 Trillion for Social Protection

The government has allocated Rp549.9 trillion for social protection spending in the RAPBN 2027. The funds will continue social assistance, health services, education, and community empowerment for vulnerable groups. The amount is about 8.2 percent higher than the 2026 social protection budget of Rp508.2 trillion. Airlangga Hartarto said the funding comes from ministry and agency spending of Rp422.5 trillion, non-ministry spending of Rp88.1 trillion, and transfers to regions of Rp38.4 trillion. Programs financed include Program Keluarga Harapan for 10 million beneficiary families, the sembako program for 17.8 million families, PIP for 22.1 million students, KIP Kuliah for 1.1 million college students, and PBI JKN for 96.8 million participants. The government is also preparing digitalization of social aid and use of DTSEN to improve targeting accuracy.
