Rangers edge Jablonec 1-0 in playoff first leg despite late red

What's next: Ryan Naderi's goal gives Rangers a slim lead before next week's return leg in the Czech Republic.

Rangers took a narrow 1-0 lead over Jablonec in the first leg of their Conference League playoff at Ibrox, with Ryan Naderi scoring early in the second half before Cammy Devlin was sent off late on. Naderi struck from close range in the 50th minute after a drab first half that drew boos from home fans. Rangers then had to protect the lead with 10 men after substitute Devlin saw red in the 78th minute for a high challenge on Jiri Slama, only minutes after entering the match. The result gives Derek McInnes' side an advantage, but only a slender one, heading into next week's second leg against the Czech club.
