PWNU and PCNU in Central Java, DIY back Muktamar in Lirboyo

PWNU and PCNU across Central Java and DI Yogyakarta are urging that the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama Muktamar be held at Pondok Pesantren Lirboyo in Kediri. The position was agreed in a mujalasah at Pondok Pesantren Raudlatu Thullab in Tempuran, Magelang, on Wednesday, attended by 35 PCNU members from the two regions. In the joint agreement, the forum also rejected limits on the syuriyah element and AHWA zoning, said it was preserving the organization's original structure, and called for accountable management of NU's strategic assets. The meeting was attended by PBNU Chairman Yahya Cholil Staquf, PBNU Deputy Chairman Amin Said Husni, the Central Java PWNU leadership headed by Ubaidullah Shodaqoh, and DI Yogyakarta PWNU Rais Syuriyah Mas'ud Masduqi.
