Projo clarifies Budi Arie's video on a faster 2029 election

Projo clarified a viral video of its chairman, Budi Arie Setiadi, who raised the possibility that political dynamics could move faster than the 2029 election. Projo DPP secretary-general Fredy Alex Damanik said the clip circulating on social media was only an excerpt, not the full recording. He said Budi Arie was outlining several possibilities during an August Independence Month gathering between Joko Widodo and volunteers. Fredy said the forum also discussed input on national conditions to be relayed to President Prabowo Subianto through Jokowi's communication with Prabowo. In the clip, Budi Arie is heard asking whether volunteers are ready if an acceleration happens before 2029. He also compared the current situation with the 1997-1998 dynamics and referred to recent demonstrations.
