Pritam Singh faces Aug. 13 hearing in Singapore legal case
What's next: A three-judge court can strike him off, suspend him for up to five years, fine him up to S$100,000 or censure him.
Workers' Party chief Pritam Singh will face a Law Society of Singapore disciplinary hearing on Aug. 13 before the Court of Three Judges, according to the Singapore Courts hearing list. The case stems from Singh's 2025 conviction on two counts of lying under oath to a parliamentary committee over former WP lawmaker Raeesah Khan's false account in Parliament about a sexual assault case. The Law Society began proceedings in March under the Legal Profession Act after receiving notice from the Attorney-General's Chambers that the conviction involved fraud or dishonesty. Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon, Justice Kannan Ramesh and Justice See Kee Oon are set to hear the case.
