Pramono opens possibility of Transjabodetabek Blok M-Bandung
The push for expansion comes as public transit use in DKI rose 10.8 percent through September 2026.
DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo opened the possibility of expanding Transjabodetabek service from Blok M, South Jakarta, to Bandung. He raised the idea while delivering remarks at The 5th World Conference on Creative Economy 2026 in Jakarta on Friday. According to Pramono, Blok M has become a strong hub because it is connected to MRT Jakarta and Transjakarta, and is supported by culinary spots, music stages and local businesses. He said improved connectivity has also boosted public interest in using mass transit. Through September 2026, the number of public transport passengers in DKI was reported to have risen 10.8 percent. On the Blok M-Bogor route, usage that was initially targeted at 2,000 people per day now averages nearly 10,000.
