The Balai Kota meeting also covered APBN support for transport, housing, schools and a planned LPDP Jakarta fund for graduate students.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung met Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara at Balai Kota in Central Jakarta, a day after saying the agenda would discuss plans for Jakarta's regional bond issuance. The Jakarta provincial government is targeting a Rp3.5 trillion bond issue in June 2027, to coincide with the 500th anniversary of Jakarta, as an alternative source of financing for development and public services. The instrument is planned with a maximum tenor of seven years, with the coupon to follow market conditions at issuance. In Pramono's post, the meeting also discussed APBN support for public transportation, housing, school building renovations and collaboration on LPDP Jakarta for S2 and S3 students. The outcome of the bond discussion was not detailed.
