Pramono: Jakarta economy grows 5.59% in Q1 2026
Jakarta accounted for 16.67% of the national economy, with 2025 inflation at 2.45% and Q1 investment reaching Rp270 trillion.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said Jakarta's economy grew 5.59 percent year on year in the first quarter of 2026 despite global pressure and geopolitical escalation. Speaking at Jakarta's 499th anniversary ceremony at Monas on Monday (22/6), he said the result underscored Jakarta's role as both a stability anchor and a driver of national growth. Jakarta's contribution to the national economy was said to reach 16.67 percent. Pramono also said Jakarta inflation throughout 2025 remained under control at 2.45 percent, while investment realization in the first quarter of 2026 reached Rp270 trillion. The Jakarta provincial government, he said, is pursuing efficiency and sharpening priority programs so residents feel the benefits directly amid global economic pressure.
