Pramono calls for Kalijodo to be cleared of extortion, drinking

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has called for Kalijodo to be cleared of illegal fees and drinking parties. The request came after allegations of an entry charge at the back of the revitalized area, although Pramono said the renovation there is not yet fully complete. He asked the Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja to take firm action against people drinking alcoholic beverages at the site. Earlier, North Jakarta Satpol PP searched RPTRA Kalijodo after a video alleging extortion and drinking parties went viral on social media. North Jakarta Satpol PP chief Budhi Novian said the Rp10 ribu entry fee for motorcyclists is no longer in place. Officers also raided the location but did not find any liquor bottles and continued checks at small businesses around the area.
