Prabowo inaugurates 1,151 km of regional roads in 37 provinces
The 2025 Inpres Jalan Daerah program is backed by Rp 5.41 trillion from the state budget, with DKI Jakarta the only holdout.
President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated 1,151 kilometers of regional road construction in 37 provinces on Tuesday (23/6) from Sampang Regency, East Java. The project carries out Presidential Instruction No. 11 of 2025 on accelerating regional road connectivity to support food and energy self-sufficiency. Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo said the program is supported by Rp 5.41 trillion in the state budget to link production areas, markets, national roads, residential areas and public service centers. According to Dody, only DKI Jakarta did not submit a proposal. Prabowo said regional roads are a lifeline of the people’s economy because they smooth the distribution of farm, plantation and fishery products while reducing interregional logistics costs.
